Synod of the Czech Mission Province: 
On Saturday, November 13, the Synod of the Czech Missiony Province will meet in Turnov. The participants with the right of vote are always two representatives of each congregation, same as the members of the Board of the Mission Provincel. The Synod evaluates the past term and makes decisions for the years to come.

It was the year 2000 and at that time our Ochranov congregation of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren (since 1 January 2000), the original congregation of the Unity of Brethren in Turnov, bought the dilapidated historical house Na Sboře from the town. We were motivated by the need to develop our congregational activities - since autumn 1998 we have been meeting in the borrowed clubhouse of the Turnov Fokus - but also by respect for the tradition of our ancestors.
